Breton visitor, Idatsa in Newlyn.

The Idatsa fishes for langoustine on banks like the Jones' Bank or the Smalls grounds, so'west of Milford Haven - boat of this size plabn on doing trips of around the 11 or 12 days....
a young local gull sees off the visting Icelandic gull on top of one of the Idatsa's net drums....
one of the punts alongside the visiting Breton trawler.....
no prizes for guessing which boat this is from.......
still waters in the early hours.....
the Idatsa waits for the returning crew member......
young Barry Chivers heads out into the Bay for a trial run.....
while Paul Arran makes his way back to the gaps.....

The Idatsa from Guilvenec was forced to call in Newslyn when one of the crew managed to get soemting in his eye while working on the deck. He was taken to West Cornwall hospital by a local taxi for treatment.

Picture taken on a Samsung i900 Omnia mobile phone and uploaded to the blog from the harbourside.
