Awash with dogs, too many fish, not enough kits - 10 stone piles were a common sight on the quay during the height of the dog bonanza. For several years the Boy Gary, at 37 ft one of the smallest boats in the fleet held the port record having grossed around £40K for a week on the dogs. Extra hands were paid to clean the nets full of dogs in harbour to allow the crew to sleep!
